FFLA GOES TO PAU FRANCE
MAY 27 TO JUNE 11 2005

OUR LONG AWAITED OPPORTUNITY HAS ARRIVED

We depart LAX May 27 at 6pm, arrive in Pau (pronounced “Poe”) May 28 at 8pm.
We spend one wonderful week getting to know new friends in this British-influenced town in the Pyrenees.  They have planned tours and parties and a visit to Biarritz - in fact some of our group may be housed in Biarritz, about an hour away.

Then we will have an easy bus tour of this Southwestern Region June 5-10 which includes 3 nights in Carcassonne, 2 nights in Sarlat, 1 night in Toulouse.
Some of our stops along the way include:
Foix, Roquefixade, Montsegur, Mirepoix Carcassonne, Peyrepertuse, Cucugnan Maury, Puilaurens or Cubière, Rennes le Château, Albi, Cordes, Rocamadour, Beynac, les Eyzies, Dordogne valley, Dome, Pech-Merle, Cahors stone bridge, Moissac.

We will fly from Toulouse to Paris on June 11 at 10:30am.  Departure for those not staying on in Paris will be at 1:15pm, arriving home at LAX June 11 at 3:45pm.

Because Air France is very strict about deviations, we must book the Exchange and the Add-on as a group.

The total costs including fees to FFI, to FFLA, to the Pau club, round-trip airfare, and touring in France is $3350.*

Still in the planning stage, a possible 3-4 day stay in Paris with the usual tours, an optional half-day at Versailles, a half-day in Giverny and plenty of free time.  Accommodations will be B&B style for economy. The cost for Paris is not known yet.

NOTE: If a member can only afford the Exchange week, because of either time or financial constraints, we will make every effort to work this out for you.  Please understand that this does not apply if you have both the time and money but wish to do other travel than what has been arranged.

* This may increase or decrease by as much as $200 depending on our final numbers.
