Note: this information was correct as of October 24, 2004
Hours: Confirm opening and closing hours for date of attendance.  Dates change in the summer months.  Fridays are good because traffic is usually light on Friday morning.  Mondays may be desirable because museums are closed that day.  Use the web site link to obtain information, or telephone: (714) 781-4560
Summer 2004 exchange suggested a later departure.  Check to see when the fireworks start and confer with Hosts to see if they are willing to pick up from the bus later than midnight.  See Transportation information link for public transportation, shuttle buses, charter buses, taxi fare from both the SF Valley and from the West side LA.  Beware of a $16 drop-off and $16 pick-up fee for charter buses which may be charged by Disneyland.  Phil T. was barely able to avoid it.  In the past we have tipped the Driver $2 per person.
If using charter bus, be sure to inform hosts of meeting place with maps and diagrams, suggested times.  Two pick-ups take a lot more time.  Park-n-Ride lot at the top of Mulholland off the 405 freeway may be convenient as a half way point (taking into consideration hosts from Palos Verdes and Thousand Oaks)
Use cell phone list to coordinate return time.
Non-English speaking Ambassadors may appreciate a FFA guide to help with arrival and pick-up. FFA Guide may be able to arrange special language tours.
TICKETS: Friendship Force (as a non-profit organization) can obtain discount tickets for Disneyland.  Group rates are available for groups of 15 or more.  The discounts are 10%. See sample letter and be sure to attach the required IRS non-profit letter.  It’s possible to obtain tickets in advance by mail, but because of last minute changes, it is probably better to buy them upon arrival at the Group Sales Window, with payment and this letter.  They accept credit cards in the name of the person making the group purchase and they accept personal checks with a valid driver’s license.  If you mail your order, the address is P.O. Box 61061, 1313 Harbor Blvd, Anaheim, CA 92803
