Lindberg Park Hall, Rhoda & Virginia Ave, Culver City holds 75 people. Directions: Near 405 and 10 Freeways. From 405: Exit Jefferson, E to Overland, L or N to Virginia (signal), L or W to park. From 10: Exit Overland, S (2mi) to Virginia (signal), R or W to park. There are 3 long tables, and some 50 chairs available. Rental: Park & Rec office is located on Overland Blvd, behind the Veterans Auditorium. Cost: $50 for a non-profit. Pay by check to Culver City Park and Recreation.
Onion Church, North Hills, 1-818-894-9251, can seat 80 people. Cost: $75, $150 deposit.
Burton Chace Park, in Marina del Rey, nice for welcome party because it's close to airport; especially good on a weekday when there are no crowds. Location: 13650 Mindinao Way. Mailing: 13837 Fiji Way, Marina del Rey, CA 90292. Phone: 1-310-305-9595, Fax: 1-310-821-3609. Free to non-profit organizations. IRS letter is in Resource File. There are 3 picnic areas: A, B, and C. A is the only one that can be reserved. Insurance certificate is required. See FFI website for form requesting insurance certificate. Completed form should be faxed to Shirley Bagwell at FFI. B and C are on a first come, first served basis. Weekdays are the best bet. Each shelter seats about 48 people. If you have a large group, it might be best to get there early and stake a claim to both B and C. Then you don't need the insurance certificate or letter. And you have lots of room! Ed Kwinn is an expert at obtaining this reservation. No alcoholic beverages are allowed. There is also a community room available for rental Monday through Saturday, 8:45 am to 4:45 pm. We've never used it. Parking is by meter and is generally available during the week. There are electric outlets for coffee pots and there are also barbeques that can be used. Directions from airport: Start going towards the Airport exit on arrivals ACC/World Way; Bear right at ramp to Sepulveda NORTH; Continue north on Sepulveda; Turn left on Lincoln Blvd; Turn left on Mindanao Way to Burton Chace Park.
Westside Pavillion, 310-474-2785. Non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations can use meeting rooms A, B and C for $25 per meeting. Payment is due 30 days in advance. Rooms A and B are adjacent to one another on Level 3, Westside One, east end, behind the Food Court. Room C is in the adjacent portion of Westside Pavilion in Westside Too on Level 3. Room A is suited to 60 people, has at least 60 chairs and at least 8 six foot tables, a podium, chalkboard, sink, and small refrigerator. Room B is suited to 30 people, has at least 30 chairs and at least 4 six foot tables, a podium and chalkboard. Room C is suited to 65 people, has at least 70 chairs and at least 8 six foot tables and a restroom. It is also possible to combine Rooms A and B for a group of 90 people. Rooms are available during shopping center hours. Must be reserved at least 30 days in advance and up to 90 days in advance.
