Bus Transportation
FREE BUS, is available from the LA City Council (gas tax funds).  All passengers are required to be senior citizens.  Must request 1 month in advance.  Departure and return locations may not be a private residence.  Time limit of 8 hours.  Must have non-profit status [get copy of IRS letter from Resource file].  We are allowed 4 buses per fiscal year, July 1 to June 30.  Must write letter with info.
Transit Systems Unlimited, Inc, 8976 Laurel Canyon Blvd, Sun Valley, CA 91352; Maurice is agent; 1-818-504-7270, Fax 1-818-504 6403. Will pick up from private residence.  For trip to Disneyland in August, 2000 for up to 24 people, with seat belts and air-conditioning, the cost was $360, starting at 9 AM and ending at 10:30 PM (left Disneyland at 9 PM) included 2 pick-ups.  In 2004 this bus was not available.  We had a larger bus and it cost $400.  Driver tip $2 per person.
California Bus Charter, 3333 E. 69th Street, Long Beach, CA 90805; 1-562-634-7969.  Small commuter bus hold maximum of 28 passengers.  Used September 1997, cost $185.06.
Corporate Coach Charter, 1-310-216-1171; 24 passenger coach in October 2004 from Van Nuys to Disneyland was $510.40 including tax.
Rent a car
Enterprise, 1-800-736-8222, or call local office.  Used for Russian Open World at weekly rate in October 2004.  Daily rates for 7 passenger vans are $79.99 + tax for 24 hour day, includes up to 150 miles; up to 300 miles is $5 extra.
Van Transport Services
A&M Supertime Transport, 1-800-650-8441.  Vans which carry up to 7 people cost $90 one way to Disneyland (Oct. 2004 price). Prime Time, 1-800-733-8267. Vans which carry up to 7 people cost $144.90 each way to Disneyland (Oct. 2004 price). Roadrunner, 1-800-247-7919.  Vans which carry up to 7 people cost $128.00 each way to Disneyland, plus 10% tip for driver. (Oct. 2004 price).
