Map and Driving Directions Pages
How do I get a map or driving directions to an FFLA event?

The Friendship Force of Los Angeles web site provides easy access to our members to get maps and driving directions to many of our public events.  Just click the blue "Map" link associated with an event.  When the map page opens, the address of the event and a map will be displayed!
There are three important parts to look for on map pages.
  1. Directional Arrows - The map can be moved by clicking the directional arrows along the border of the map.  So, to see more of the map towards the left, click the button labeled "west".
Another way to move the map is with with the "zoom" buttons.
  2. Zoom Arrows - Zoom buttons allow you to make the map bigger or smaller, depending on the amount of detail you wish to view.  Sometimes the buttons will be a magnifying glass with just a plus sign(+) or a minus sign (-).  Remember that "zoom in" or (+) will magnify the map while "zoom out" does the opposite.
  3. Driving Directions - This is how you can get step by step directions from one staring point to an ending point.  Look for the button (or link) labeled something like " Get Driving Directions TO this location".  Now a page will ask you to enter your starting address.  For most of us, this will be our home address.  Don't worry about the ending address, FFLA has entered that for you!  Then click the "Get Directions" button for your custom, turn by turn directions.

FFLA links to several Map sites, including MapQuest, Yahoo Maps, and MSN MapPoint and do not recommend one above the other.
